Rent an E-Bike at the Santa Cruz Hostel

Pick up your bike right at the hostel and explore Santa Cruz on two wheels.

Book online, pick up your bike at the front desk, and go. The Boardwalk and downtown are both a two minute ride away, and you can explore all the way to Davenport, UCSC, or Pleasure Point by bike.

How it works

• Book below. Pick a date, a start time, and how many bikes. You pay when you book and get a confirmation email right away.
• Each rider signs a waiver. We email you the link, it takes about 30 seconds on a phone.
• Pick up at the front desk at your start time. The bike comes with a helmet and a lock.
• Drop your bike off at the hostel when you're all done and that's it.

What it costs

$70 for a half day (4 hours), $120 for a full day (8 hours). Helmet and lock included. Riders need to be 16 or older, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to sign their waiver and has to wear the helmet.

Where people ride

Most people head to West Cliff Drive, the paved path along the ocean from the Wharf out to Natural Bridges. It's flat and you can stop wherever looks good. If you want a bigger day, ride north through Wilder Ranch toward Davenport. We put together some route guides if you want ideas.

One thing to know

We only keep a few bikes at the hostel. If you know your dates, book before you arrive.
